Natural Newborn Photography | Newborn baby Photographer, Glasgow

I'm not going to lie, when I first made the switch from styled newborn photography to baby led newborn photography, I was a little bit nervous.

How would I fill a gallery with no props for variation? How would I deliver the 25 images that I promise from a newborn shoot, if all I was photographing was a baby with nothing else to jazz up the session?

How silly of me, those nerves were completely pointless. You see, I really struggle to keep my session images to 25, infact for the most part, clients will walk away with many more images than that.

And it's all because your baby is amazing, so different and unique. Full of little traits that no other baby has. So by following their lead in a session, the possibilities are endless and you'll be left with images of your baby, exactly as you'll want to remember them.

Its best to photograph newborns in the first 14-21 days post birth, however my more relaxed style of photography means that this is not an absolute requirement.

All sessions take place in my cosy home studio in Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire. A newborn session will last approximatley 1.5-2.5 hours.

Its best to book well in advance as newborn spaces are limited. I only photograph a set number of newborns per month and book out space in my diary to accomodate early and late arrivals. However, I will on occasion have some last minute availability.

Please give me a shout if you’d like to chat about a session.

Much love,

If you’re due a new baby sometime soon I’m pretty sure there will be many things running through your mind, not least the all important task of naming your new love.

Naming your baby is one of the most important jobs you’ll have as a new parent, the name you choose will most likely be with them for life and that can be a pretty overwhelming thought. However, choosing names can be so much fun, and if you’re anything like me, you were probably thinking about all the possibilites while the lines were still developing on your test… Believe me when I say that my list was long, very, very loooong! :)

According to the National Records of Scotland, Jack was the top name for baby boys in 2018, holding the top spot for the eleventh consecutive year, while Olivia was the first choice for girls for the third year running.

How does your list compare to the most popular choices from last year? Only one of my three childrens names features on the list, Sophie at number four. The other two, Daniel and Ana, haven’t made the cut!

So, good luck on making your decisions and remember to enjoy the process because naming your baby is fun, fun, fun!

Happy list making!

Much love,
